I am a Slave

I was simply male and young,

A morsel meal upon my tongue.

I was lame, no, almost dead;

You calmed the mael inside my head.

You had a crown of gold called hair,

Your evil frown was bold and rare,

You put me down with a scolding stare,

But I couldn't drown our cold affair.

And riding on your midnight steed

Your eyes shone like emerald fires.

I didn't want to know your creed,

Only your desires.

    I am a slave; you're my master

Treat me poorly, I'll run faster.

Even though I'm here to stay,

I'll always try to run away.

I'll always try, but not today.

I hate your evil grimaces,

Despise your vile cynicism.

Your pretty veil is just a lie,

And while you live I want to die.

You close the gate and shove me in,

Now I'm your mate, your coven sin.

This seals your fate above your chin.

The line between hate and love is thin.

I have a special kind of grace,

When I bring your golden comb.

I'll always love to see your face,

And always try to leave your home.

    I am a slave; you're my master

Treat me poorly, I'll run faster.

Even though I'm here to stay,

I'll always try to run away.

I'll always try, but not today.

You're the tops at splendid rule.

On the spot your voice stays cool.

But I must post my notice now,

And try to stop your slanted brow.

In your sleep I'll do this kill.

I start to creep; my view, my will.

And now I weep - I'll rue this spill.

The knife is deep.  Now you are still.

My fire for you is just an ember,

Losing glimmer every second.

And you know I will remember

Every instant since you beckoned.

    I am a slave; you're my master

Treat me poorly, I'll run faster.

Even though I'm here to stay,

I'll always try to run away.

I'll always try to get away.

    I'll never ever get away...
